If you always see things from a negative perspective, it is because you have developed the habit of doing so. Since this habit has taken root in your subconscious, it is now quite challenging to get rid of it. Nonetheless, challenging has never meant impossible. For you are the creator of your destiny. And for you, nothing is impossible.
The right way to let of a negative mentality it through slowly building the habit of developing strong belief that help you frame situations in a more optimistic outlook. To do that, you first need to gain insight into your negative thoughts and explore them so you can determine their meaning and source. This helps you know why you developed those thought and whether they are genuine or not.
A great way to gain a deeper insight into your thought process is to learn how to calm your racing mind and focus on your thoughts by practicing mediation. This is an extremely important and healthy habit to develop to improve your mentality.
First, choose a time of day when you are free and can devote about 10 or more minutes to yourself.
When you have those uninterrupted 10 minutes, take your journal, sit somewhere quiet and think of any limiting or negative belief that upsets you.
Write done that belief and then question its authenticity. Does that belief apply to every situation? Does that belief apply to every situation? Do you have any proof proving otherwise? Have other told you that thing? For instance, if one of your belief states, I am a figure, rummage through your memory in search of evidence that proves or disproves this belief.
Once you learn to questions your belief and ask the right questions, you mind will start seeking answers. Your min answers question depending on hoe you ask those questions depending on how you ask those questions. If you ask yourself “Am I a failure, your mind will show you instances that prove you are? However, if you ask is questions like “Have I done anything that proves I am not a failure? You will start to think of many instances that shoe you are indeed a hardworking person.
Next, reply to that belief in a more positive tone. If a belief states, I did not do that chore correctly so I will be terrible at it, change it to “So what if I made a few mistakes in the start. If I stay persistent and put in my best effort. I will definitely be better at it. Similarly, talk to yourself in this manner keeping your beliefs in consideration and change the connotation of all your beliefs.
Do this for 10 minutes and by the time you complete the exercise, you will feel a lot more positive than you did before. You must engage in this exercise every day and wherever you do, treat yourself to a nice meal, get yourself a little present or do something that makes you happy, always remember to reward yourself. This positively reinforces this healthy practice, helps you stick to it which in turn help you make it a subconscious habit.
The thing is, you cannot go far in life if you consistently put yourself down. But if you constantly nurture the habit of staying positive, you can bet that you will see yourself from a different perspective and you will being to make subconscious decisions that will set you up for the level of success you desire to achieve.
With the passage to time, you will learn to talk to yourself in pa positive manner which will help you shun you inner critic, the negative inner voice that chides you. This will help you counter all the unhealthy belief and position your life and self-belief.
