Stress and anxiety infect us because our thoughts are elsewhere as we perform routine chores. While doing laundry, we are not involved in it, while cooking, our thoughts are off wandering, while doing office work, we are busy thinking of how to manage our household expenses. In short, we are never truly present in the moment which gives normal stress a chance to turn chronic.

Whenever you start an activity, do it with full attention and stay present in it every moment. If you are eating food, take each bite slowly and chew it with full attention. Enjoy its taste and aroma and if a distracting thought pops up, chew even slower so you remain focused on the act and do it mindfully.
Be wholeheartedly and completely present in everything you do from eating, to showering, to doing laundry, to dong work at your office and so on. When you behave this way, you will stay in charge of your thoughts at all times and whenever something upsetting pops up, you will identify it. One you pinpoint a thought that could trigger frustration or an undesirable emotion, you will work on it right on time and figure out its cause before it wreaks your mind.
When you do this, you will always stay conscious of yourself. Not only will you learn to let go of stress, you will also learn how to enjoy everything you do. For instance, if you are stuck in traffic, instead of losing our temper, you will use that opportunity to listen to music or spend some alone time.
This strategy helps you develop many good habits and break several bad ones. Building and braking habits requires that you identify your reminder, know a habit’s routine and understand its reward. When you cannot maintain a state of consciousness, doing this becomes challenging. However, by becoming mindful, you easily know what triggers a certain bad habit and what encourages you to continue practicing it. Moreover, when you start developing a good henbit, you can keep yourself invigorated by drilling healthy suggesting into your mind.
If you stick to these practices for 60 days or so, they will turn in to habits and will shape your life positively. By nurturing the habit of doing everything you do mindfully, you will start noticing just how productive and liable you become. All that will set you on an express path to massive success in everything you do.
