It is strange that we are so familiar with ourselves that we tend to take ourselves for granted. We tend to minimize the things that we can accomplish as well as the goals we can reach. For some equally strange reason, we believe other to be more capable of success and dwell on our ineptness. There remains an enormous gap of undeveloped potential in all of us, a great reserve of talent and ability that we habitually fail to use.
Look at today’s black achievers who have reached amazing heights. No matter their endeavor, wherever you find men or women of distinction, you will find a person with the right mental attitude. You need only to thing of your friends and acquaintances to prove this. The successful take the attitude that they can accomplish whatever they set their minds to. They have a healthy attitude toward themselves and as a result, toward life. Subsequently, they aim high and come to be called successful, outstanding and achievers. Quite frankly, they are not more brilliant or outstanding than the majority of people with whom they come in contract. It is their aptitude that makes the difference.
